My 3rd time to run the Half and I can never imagine that it can get better BUT IT DOES! Swag - more goodies and 2 yes 2 shirts!!! Larger Expo in a beautiful school, with friendly helpful volunteers! Organization beyond belief and the finish - I love to get my medal from the kids and the food and drinks were fantastic! The blankets helped so much ! I could go on and on ! Don't ever be afraid to run this race- it will become one of your favorites ! I will be back as many times as I can!!!

I have been a spectator in the past. Last year I was inspired to start training for a half marathon by Chris and his abilility to get the community running. This race was just enough of a challenge to test my character and drive. I will do it again every year. The organizers know how to treat their runners.

I've run this race all three years (half for the first two, full today) and it keeps getting better and better. That's a big challenge considering how great it was to start.

Chris and Jared clearly to the extra mile to assure a perfect race experience. Everything from the plethora of port-o-potties to the awesome swag to the clear course markings to the truly impressive finisher's bling make this the best road race experience I've ever had.

We had some potentially nasty weather today. The level of communication and transparency about decision making was unparalleled and truly helped all of us plan on getting to B/CS safely.

As an Aggie, I'm very proud of the way this community has embraced the race and continues to support it every year. At mile 20 I was starting to hurt. Fortunately, I ran though a large group of highly energetic folks wearing cow and pig outfits cheering me on and my spirits soared. It seems like every aid station was staffed (in some very cold weather) by folks just like this. What an awesome experience.

The course is mostly flat with a few rollers. It gives you a great tour of two great cities and a world-class university.

If you are looking for a half or full marathon, I can't recommend this one highly enough!

The race directors truly care about your experience. I've run several large races and there is nothing personal about them. The labor that went into this with the looming bad weather, constant updates, etc. was over the top awesome. And the fact that the charity is so touching is just icing on the cake. I truly had the best time and couldn't recommend this race more!

A superbly organized event. Communication leading up to the event couldn't be beat. Only thing I'd ask for is the temperature to be about 10 degrees warmer next time :-)

It's hard to explain what this race means to me. The race director and his team inspire me on a daily basis. After doing the half last year, and seeing firsthand the love that went into this race, I was motivated to do the full this year. I am so glad I did. The race itself was just the culmination of months of motivation from the BCS marathon team. Regular updates, motivational words and a pure sense of energy for running and for their cause elevated this experience to an unbelievable level. The race itself was perfectly organized, expertly orchestrated, and obviously put together by people who know and love running. On top of that, the causes that the race supports are wonderful and apparent along the race course. I can't say enough great things about the race and its people. It's more than a run. It's more than a day. It will become a part of you.

This was the cherry on top of the BCS Race series. Chris and Co know how to organize great races. And there was nutrition at mile 9 of the half. When on Campus, adjacent to the Drill Field the first time. I grabbed GU AND A.Brownie. The food at the end was excellent and so were the drinks. I only wish we would score a 13.1 bumper sticker. Shirts were nice. Swag was nice. Expo was a nice extra. Aid stations were appreciated.

This race is amazing for so many reasons! First, the organizers truly love the sport, but their motivation is the charity funded by the proceeds. They are excellent at sharing info constantly on Facebook and email. Last year this was my first half. I knew EXACTLY what to expect thanks to the detailed updates by the planners. Parking is convenient, medals are cool, shirts are quality (you get 2!) and this year everyone got foam rollers! The course is flat, fast, and fun. I'll be doing this every year!
