"one of the most fun races I've done" (about: 2012)

The organization was great! All the pre race emails and posts really had me looking forward to the race. The course workers and course support people were amazing.

"Nice late season marathon" (about: 2012)

One of the best organized races I have run. A very nice rolling course with a few twists around A & M campus. I recommend the race to anyone looking to avoid the crowds (i.e. the race is the same day as the Dallas Marathon) and enjoy the distance.

D. J. from College Station, Texas (12/10/2012)
"Great event for a great cause" (about: 2012)

As I crossed the finish line the race director was there to shake my hand; can you imagine that? The photos along the home-stretch of the kids freed from slavery were very special as was the emotional catch in Chris's voice when he discussed the Mercy Project before the gun. Makes you happy to be supporting the cause, race or no race. Lots of support on the course with only a couple of uphills. The police and volunteers were all helpful, polite and encouraging as well. Weather was the pits (warm and humid) but you can't have everything.

"Excellant race! Very well organized!" (about: 2012)

Chris and his crew do an outstanding job! This race was run smoothly, any issues that came up were handled quickly and efficiently. Chris was always available for questions during my volunteer shifts, and the friendliness of the entire host of volunteers was awesome! I ran last year, and I plan on doing it again next year! Thanks for an awesome race, even with the very warm and humid weather conditions. All the extra precautions, such as added water and cold towels, and airconditioned busses were well appreciated! Thanks for another terrific race!

First Marathon
COURSE: 5  ORGANIZATION: 5  FANS: 5

This is an excellent course for first-timers (like me) and for seasoned vets to PR. It was well-planned, well-executed and the personal touches by the race director, Chris, and his amazing team made it a truly joyful experience. Pre- and post-race communication was also spectacular. Fantastic job everyone!!!

Great race organized. Plenty of water stops and even had cold towels because of warm day.

This race is extremely organized and well run! The course modifications this year made for an even better experience. I <3 the BCS Half Marathon!!

Best race in Texas; will not miss a year if possible. Best communication and community support by far!

J. F. from Navasota, Texas (12/10/2012)
"Best small (3500) marathon and 1/2 anywhere!" (about: 2012)

4-5 previous marathons | 2 Bryan/College Station Marathons

1) This is the most well organized full or 1/2 marathon you will ever attend. 2) Racer support is phenomenal. 3) The course is fairly flat and the scenery is diverse and entertaining. 4) In only the second year, spectator support is very positive and growing. 5) Best post-race food and rink I have ever seen at any race. 6) Cool medals and good swag. This is a runner's event, for runners of all ability levels, that happens to support some really great charities! The options for this feedback don't distinguish between full and 1/2 marathons, but I have run 1 full and 4 1/2 marathons, including doing the BCS 1/2 twice.

"I am ready to sign up for next year!" (about: 2012)

Many thanks to Chris and everyone who helped to make this marathon a success. This was my third marathon and far surpassed my expectations. The t-shirts, race side ammenities, food, medals, and hospitable volunteers were exceptional. I will refer several people for next year!
