COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 This was my second half marathon, and while my time wasn't a huge improvement it was definitely a fabulous experience! Tons of aid stations, great volunteers and spectators, and the course is beautiful. All that made it so much easier for me to finish my 13.1 miles. Thank you to a fabulous race committee and all of the volunteers!

"I really loved the scenery and the race!" (about: 2012)
1 previous marathon
| 1 Fox Valley Marathon
COURSE: 3 ORGANIZATION: 4 FANS: 5 I really loved the scenery and the race, but there were a few dangerous running areas in which it may have been useful to have more volunteers posted. I know a few people fell here and there. Also, there were good signs directing you where to go in most places, but a few areas only had one orange cone indicating which way to go or not to go and these areas could have been more clearly marked. Otherwise the race was a lot of fun, there were a lot of water stations, and the crowd was very motivating.

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 Everything about this race was perfect...organization, course, aid stations, spectators. Nicely shaded course along the Fox River. Wonderful scenery, historic landmarks and quaint town settings. This year was my first Fox Valley Event and I plan to be back next year. A must!

| 1 Fox Valley Marathon
COURSE: 4 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 Please don't describe this course as flat! I would hate to think what you think is hilly. :) Loved everything else about this race. The volunteers were great and the spectators were supportive of strangers.

"Fox Valley 20 miler" (about: 2012)
First Marathon
COURSE: 4 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 4 Some of the course was under construction so it is hard to give a fair answer. Some parts of this race was very scenic others just very annoying. Water stations were awesome! The spectators that were out were awesome. I just felt all the twisting around in parking lots was annoying! Also, all the different colored signs became confusing was I was tired. I couldn't remember who was for what color. It really brought my spirits down when I saw the full had 1 mile, 20 miler had 3. I would run this race again. Parking was easy! Food was plentiful although some pretzels instead of those chips would have been better. |
