Definitely the best marathon around. Great course and wonderful support- plenty of aid stations and Gu at 4 stations!
What a great feeling to contribute to the Mercy Project and see the faces of children rescued line the finish area!

The communication was awesome. The organizer kept us updated on details about everything from the course, the finishers medals, what to expect and of course the weather. The entire thing was so well done and the most enjoyable race I have done to date. I will definitely make this an annual event.

I can't think of anything I would change. This race has been amazing the last two years I've ran it. The workers and volunteers go all out and make it such a wonderful experience. Definitely doing the BCS marathon every year!!

Absolutely Amazing! This was my first full marathon and I loved running BCS. I loved the hug from the race director at the end and the hug from the special young man who put on my medal. I can't wait until next year!

We've run all three years. BCS 1/2 Marathon was our first run, so we have grown with them. It is an amazing experience. The coordinators, sponsors, volunteers, spectators, route, police, and medical personnel do a fantastic job of not only caring for others, but in keeping us all motivated.

This race is the most runner - friendly race I've ever seen. From training motivation and strong social media presence, to meeting every possible need of the runner. They went above and beyond to help runners affected by travel - restricting weather and even took in runners from another race canceled last minute. To cope with unseasonably hot weather (2012) they provided wet towels. To cope with unseasonably cold weather (2013) they provided space blankets. It's a race directed by runners who care about runners, and it's circled on my calendar every year.

I could not have chosen a better race for my first full marathon! Despite the potentially difficult weather, everyting was well organized and worked out great. Kudos to the race organizers for their unparralled race communications.

Love Bryan-College Station and the support from the community was awesome. This is a great event, run well and the Mercy Project is a worthy cause.

This is not only the best event in TX, but the best event I've done to date. This begins with the race organizers and rolls all the way down. Communication was spot on leading up to the race and on race day (including 2 posts before 4am regarding road conditions with icy spots!). The venue was easy to get to and they offered a kid's run the day before which my boys loved! Organizers worked with Texas A&M student groups to increase cheering sections on campus and they were awesome! The run went great but the backstory is what makes this race so special. The funds go to the Mercy Project which saves children in Africa from slavery. The finishing sprint was lined with pictures of 40 kids they have saved so far. Then they had kid volunteers from Special Olympics present all the finishing medals. I broke down a bit at the end. Amazing organizers even greeted EVERY finisher at the finish line. Due to a horrendous ice storm in Dallas, which cancelled the Dallas Marathon, they offered deferrals to all Dallas runners last minute due to the storm, with no penalty, and opened up additional spots for others. This is the best organized and inspirational race I've ever been a part of. And will definitely put it on the return list.
