COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 Everything about the race is well organized and well executed: registration, expo and bib pickup, accommodations at race start, volunteers, food/water/aid stations, security/safety of route, accommodations at finish line. I'm looking forward to next year!

"Some roads bad, few spectators, but fun anyway" (about: 2019)
1 previous marathon
COURSE: 4 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 3 Overall, the race is a lot of fun and I look forward to doing it again. Some of the roads were bad, with holes and cracks to be mindful of, but it was nice running through campus. There were spectators at some spots and not so much at others. Some hydration stations only had 6 volunteers manning 2 tables. The pre race is well organized and the post race is fun. The food is great!

"i LOVE THIS RACE AND DO IT EVERY YEAR!" (about: 2019)
11-50 previous marathons
| 4-5 Bryan/College Station Marathons
COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 I love this race, it is my favorite and I do it every year. I live in Austin TX and travel for this race (Half Marathon). The support along the route and the organization of all the details is amazing. The after party is great, especially when it's not too cold like this year! (2019)

"Greatest race in Texas" (about: 2019)
11-50 previous marathons
| 6+ Bryan/College Station Marathons
COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 This race is great from the sign up until you go home afterward. The communication is great, the swag is the best, tons of food/drinks and lots of variety after the race, hundreds of cheering spectators on the course, fantastic aid stations with water, Gatorade, snacks, and first aid, sweet finisher medal, and cool finisher hoodie.

"Great race" (about: 2019)
11-50 previous marathons
| 1 Bryan/College Station Marathon
COURSE: 4 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 Terrific event from start to finish. Plenty water and first aid stations. Gave 4 stars for course due to there being no full carb endurance drink available. They only had low calorie NUUN, which I think is good, but most people have not ever tried which breaks the cardinal rule of never trying something new on race day.

"Great, mostly flat course. Not many spectators" (about: 2019)
1 previous marathon
| 1 Bryan/College Station Marathon
COURSE: 4 ORGANIZATION: 4 FANS: 3 The course was nicely laid out, covering much of the town and was mostly flat. It was quite windy, but that was just the weather. The aid stations were good, but could've used signs saying how far along they were. It was easy to mix them up with unofficial aid stations, which made it hard to keep track. There were clocks up at the 10k, half, 20 mile marks, but it was hard to tell where on the course you were at that point. The run tracking also did not update during the race making it hard to actually 'track' runners. The post race event was great. My main complaint is that there was a portion of the course where several people went the wrong way and cut distance off their marathon. Only a few of us recognized that the group was heading the wrong way and went the correct way but much more course marking was needed. There were cones for traffic and often police officers directing traffic, but the course could've used chalk markings and more signage indicating which side of the street to be on or when to make turns. Also, because it's a smaller marathon, there were not a ton of fans. There were a decent amount, but most were there for specific runners so they weren't necessarily cheering for others. It is during finals for Texas A&M students so many are studying/don't want to be up early, but the race directors could do a better job of advertising the race to those in the community to get more support along the route.

"This event is well organized from start to finish." (about: 2019)
2 previous marathons
| 2 Bryan/College Station Marathons
COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 The package pick up was stacked and ready to go. The course was well thought out. The course allowed for supporters all along the way. I did some running but walked the majority of the time. The water and snack stations were cheer stations as well. Security was placed throughout the entire course which made high traffic areas safe. I look forward to participating again next year and trying to improve my time.

"Awesome first half-marathon!" (about: 2019)
First Marathon
COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 Fun race! Definitely neat to get to run through A&M campus and the surrounding area. Aid stations were well placed and had quality hydration and nutrition. Awesome shirt and finisher's hoodie as well! Will definitely be running again next year.

"Superbly organized race!" (about: 2019)
11-50 previous marathons
| 1 Bryan/College Station Marathon
COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 3 This was a masterfully organized race, making the logistics of getting to and from the race as easy as could possibly be. The volunteers were on the spot. The water folks were energetic and helpful. I looked forward to each mile and the enthusiasm the groups brought. The course is generous -- a bit of gentle rolling but no intimidating hills. Just enough to keep things interesting. I would highly recommend this race.

COURSE: 4 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 4 Great organization, course is NOT flat and a nice combination of neighborhood roads, with some city streets, post party is amazing, swag is also very good considering the low price of admission. I will run it again next year. |
