COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 From the layout of the race to the dedicated spectators who watched and cheered to the many, many volunteers who made the race day happen, December 8th was a wonderful experience and a memory I will cherish for many years to come. Runners and spectators banded together to encourage and cheer on runners as they ran one of the farthest distances of their lives. I really had a blast.

"This is an amazing race! Best marathon!" (about: 2019)

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 I LOVE this race, and have run it 5 times The race is extremely well coordinated, and they responded to my questions almost always immediately. The course is generally flat and the last 0.2 mile back to the finish line is a lovely downhill - anyone can speed back to the finish line. There's plenty of water stations, food and aid stations along the course, and of course at the finish line. The supply never ran low and you never have to worry about it even if you are a slow runner. I also want to take this opportunity to thank Chris, Dan and the Team for their dedication and outstanding planning. I'd like to thank all the volunteers, the spectators, and police officers - you are amazing!! I would not be able to complete the race without your wonderful support!

"5 stars all the way!" (about: 2019)

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 The course was clear from start to finish. Chris and his team sent emails the week leading up to the race with details including bib pick-ups, parking, race time, etc. There were signs at the pick-up location directing you exactly where to go, turn by turn. They had vendors inside the expo on packet pick up day (the day before the race) so if you wanted to buy new running gear, 13.1/26.2 stickers, etc. you could. There was a map of the race course so you were able to prepare yourself ahead of time if that's your kind of thing. The roads were also blocked off so there was never any confusion on where you were supposed to be going, which was one of my main concerns as a first time racer, but it was perfect! They had cops at every intersection directing any traffic and keeping the runners safe. As well as spectators cheering you on along the way with signs. There were also water/gatorade/portapotty stands every couple of miles and at miles 5 and 9 I believe it was, they had goo's, oranges, bananas, and candy. The end of the race you were awarded a finisher jacket, and medal. Before the race at the expo you got a shirt. That was all exciting!! The vendors post race were incredible too. Beer, chocolate milk, breakfast tacos, sausage biscuits, strawberry tarts, and so many other options for food and drinks! I'm sooo glad I did this race and will be doing it again next year if I'm healthy.

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 I felt supported and well informed from the moment I signed up to well after I completed the race. I literally cannot think of any ways it could have been improved. Some proceeds go to Mercy Project, and it was amazing to see the success it has reaped from this marathon. Would 10/10 recommend the visit to College Station to run this marathon.
